I have been using Sandisk Ultra II Compact Flash and Secure Digital in my Canon 1DMkII bodies for more than two years. Canon recently upgraded the camera firmware so it is compatible with SDHC. I found out Sandisk had produced an Ultra II version of the SDHC at 4GB. The performance is equal to the Ultra II SD I have been using. It reads and writes at stated speed. Despite the information in the Amazon listing for this product it is NOT a class 2 card. It is much faster.
If you like the Sandisk Ultra II 2GB SD card you will like this card as well. The addition of a USB card reader is a very nice touch as there are not too many of these readers on the market yet.

I've had the card for a few weeks now and used it to take over 900 pictures and a total of about 5 minutes of video. It has worked flawlessly. Obviously, a lot depends upon your specific camera, but in my Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 there is a fast recycle time and the video is smooth. It does get a little warm, but that is typical of these high-capacity cards.

I love this camera. It's small, compact (maybe about the size of a Blackberry) and light weight. It can easily fit in a small purse or your back pocket. The touch screen operation is as easy as can be - and has a nice large screen compared to a lot of other cameras this size. It records videos, it has both zoom and wide angle, and the touch screen is easy to operate. this camera is easy to figure out the basics even without a manual. read the manual and it's a piece of cake. takes great pictures.

I'll preface this review by saying that I am a huge fan of Pansonic (Lumix) cameras. This is the 4th one purchased in my household. the first was the original TZ (travel zoom) camera, which I bought for myself (at a cost which could purcahse 5 of these now). It was the first compact zoom; the market everyone is going after now, but few can catch up or keep up in. I was a tad skeptical buying a camera from Panasonic 5 years ago, but, with cameras the lens is the thing and they had the immense good sense to equip it with a Leica lens. I've had that camera for 5-6 years now and am still happy with it. that said, this was purchased with the explicit intent of leaving that camera at home on an upcoming trip to Disney with the kids. I wanted something small, light and inexpensive so that I would not have to worry about it too much in a theme park (as I would with a piece of expensive equipment) or one which is valuable/ hard to replace. Still, I wanted a camera which would take good...

Purchased camera for an upcoming trip. Wanted a point and shoot that was pocket sized and took good pictures. I was going to get a Canon Powershot but then started looking at Panasonic. I feel like I got more for my money. Maybe because Panasonic is not yet a household name in cameras. A few clicks online will reveal they are "joined at the hips" with Leica.
Using the iA mode delivered great pictures everytime. Did not take a bad picture yet, the smarts built-in really work! Focusing time is short, but you have to let the camera focus before pressing all the way. Zoom is great for such a small package, but image stabilization is a must without tripod. Also has wide angle lens which is a plus, not readily available in competing models. Have not played with any of the scene modes, I let iA handle that. And when I'll need the manual modes, I'll be reaching for the dSLR where I can play with buttons.
Played briefly with the video mode and was happily surprised... Read more

First off. I'm not a professional photographer. I'm an average joe that loves to take pictures. Before I left on my trip to Jackson Hole Wyoming I knew I wanted a point and shoot camera. So, being a Nikon man, I looked at the Coolpix but when I started reading all of the great reviews on the FH20, I decided to give it a shot. The battery life, the 8x optical zoom, intelligent auto, 14 megapixel all make this camera remarkable. But it's the ease of use (I never opened the manual) and the fact that there is abosolutely no shutter delay.I shot with this camera 10 to 12 hours per day and still had juice left at the end of the day. To give it to you in a nutshell. This little camera that I carried around in the front pocket of my trek pants for 6 days, packs one hellava wallup!!!...Panasonic has done it!! And the FH20 is by far top of the line in point and shoot. I'm completely sold. Get this camera and I promise you will come back here and rave about it!! I just wish that I could somehow...
